Bertie High hosts tourney

WINDSOR – Bertie High School is planning its inaugural Easter Tournament here this weekend.

Games will begin today (Saturday) at 1 p.m. when the host Falcons play Columbia High School. The next outing will see Columbia square off with Plymouth High School at 4 p.m.

The last game Saturday will feature the Falcons meeting Plymouth at 7 p.m.

After a break on Easter Sunday, the contests will start back Monday when First Flight High School meets South Creek High at 1 p.m. At 4 pm., First Flight will meet Hertford County High School.

In the nightcap Monday, Hertford County will meet South Creek at 7 p.m.

Championship games are slated for Tuesday, April 26.

The Fifth Place Contest will be played at 1 p.m. with the third place team in each bracket.

First pitch for the third place game will be 4 p.m. Tuesday with the second place team in each pool playing in that contest.

Then, at 7 p.m., the championship games will take center stage.
