AHOSKIE, NC – Deborah Kay Godwin Baggett, age 63, of Ahoskie passed away on March 12, 2020 at the home of her son in Woodland, NC.

Mrs. Baggett was born in Portsmouth, VA on February 1, 1957, the daughter of the late Luther and Lillie Benthall Godwin. Deborah was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Brian Bland and wife, Alisa of Woodland, NC; a granddaughter, Harley Whitehead and husband, Joseph of Rocky Mount, NC; two grandsons, Brian Bland, Jr. of Gates, NC, and Brandon Bland and fiancé, Victoria Gibson of Woodland, NC; a great granddaughter, Alysa Whitehead of Rocky Mount, NC; and two great grandsons, Jonathan Whitehead of Rocky Mount, NC, and Brandon Bland, Jr. of Woodland, NC.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 16, 2020, from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC.

A graveside celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie, NC, with Rev. James Ward officiating.
