Bertie Under Warning until 5:00 pm

Bertie (along with Chowan, and Perquimans counties) are under a tornado warning until 5:00 p.m. A tornado watch for much of Eastern Carolina, which includes Northampton, Hertford and Gates Counties, has been extended until 9:00 p.m.
