RICH SQUARE – Evelyn Robbins Hall, 96, of Rich Square, NC, passed on to be with Jesus on February 2, 2021 at Pine Forest Rest Home. She was born October 7, 1924, to Robert and Alma Robbins. She graduated from Rich Square High School in 1941, and she enjoyed keeping in touch with her classmates. She particularly looked forward to each class reunion.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lynwood Hall; sisters, Margaret Garvey, Esther Pittman, and Janie Burgess; and brothers, Wilson Robbins, Eugene Robbins, and Haywood Robbins.
Evelyn is survived by her son, Donnie Hall and wife Carol; grandchildren, Daniel Hall (Christi) and Caroline Jones (Brian); and great-grandchildren; Jordyn Hall, Garrett Hall, Brooks Hall, Brogan Jones and Camden Jones. She is also survived by a loving, caring brother, Willie Robbins, and several nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews. She loved and cherished her family and was always interested in their activities and was so proud of all their accomplishments.
Evelyn loved Rich Square Baptist Church and volunteering with the Flower Calendar ministry there. She also got a lot of enjoyment encouraging and helping others through her greeting cards ministry and her pecan and lemon pie ministry. It was an everyday thing for her to care about other people and try to do things that made life easier for them.
Evelyn worked at Mylcraft Mfg. for many years and she made many good friends there. Some of those dear friends remained in touch with her after her retirement.
The family expresses their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Pastor Bob Rogers for the many years of his faithful ministry to Evelyn and her family; to Dr. Michael Alston for many years of excellent medical care; and to the Staff and Management of Pine Forest Rest Home for taking such loving care of her in recent years.
