LASKER – Emalee Jones poured in a game-high 33 points to lead Northeast Academy to a 64-48 win over Terra Ceia Christian in varsity girls basketball action here Tuesday night.

The Lady Eagles used a 19-6 scoring advantage in the first period to build a working margin. They led 36-23 at halftime.

Hayes Hatcher added 15 points for Northeast while Sarah Kate Ricks and Gracie Baker added seven points each.

Carly James led Terra Ceia with 26 points.

Terra Ceia won the varsity boys game, 83-50, behind 29 points from Elijah Shelton.

The Eagles were led by Carter Hatcher’s 15 points.

Northeast won both junior varsity games.

The girls collected a 16-9 win where Karson Ricks and Payton Odom led the way with five and four points respectively.

The jayvee boys raced out to a 25-1 halftime lead en route to a 40-9 victory. Preston Ordnung led the way with 11 points. Jake Parks and Colby Long added eight and seven points respectively.

Northeast was scheduled to travel to Lawrence Academy on Friday, Jan. 7.
