MURFREESBORO – The Murfreesboro Police Department is looking for a person who allegedly used counterfeit money recently at a convenience store in town.
Junior Devon Williams is charged with felony obtaining property by false pretenses, according to Murfreesboro Police Chief David Griffith.
Williams has been known to frequent the areas around several businesses in Murfreesboro, including McDonald’s, Speedway, Abdul’s, Napoli’s, Subway, and Food Lion. He is also sometimes seen in Woodland.
“Citizens should not approach him,” Griffith told the News Herald this week, explaining that there have been reports in the past of him accosting people by asking for money or trying to hitch a ride.
Anyone with information on Williams’ whereabouts is encouraged to call the Hertford County E-911 Dispatch Center at 252-358-0231 or the Murfreesboro Police Department at 252-398-4151.
