AHOSKIE – Zy’yeer Hicks is the first baby of the New Year here at ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital.
Born at 9:11 p.m. on Jan. 1, Zy’yeer is the hospital’s first baby born in 2023.
Zy’yeer weighed in at 7 pounds, 6 ounces and is 20 inches long.
Dr. Robert Cooke, OB-Gyn, ECU Health Women’s Care – Ahoskie, was the attending physician. The baby and his mom are both doing well.
Mother, DeAireyon Tann and grandmother, Stephanie Tann, both of Ahoskie, were all smiles and proudly accepted the first baby of the new year gift basket, a long-standing tradition at ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital.
ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital and Women’s and Children’s Care Services are delighted to welcome Zy’yeer and wish him and his family all the best.
