Pendleton man charged with child sex crimes

JACKSON – A local man is jailed under a $1.5 million bond following his arrest on Friday for child sex crimes.
Thomas Wing II, age 49 of Pendleton, stands charged with one count felony incest of child 13-to-15 years-old, one count felony incest, two counts first degree kidnapping, one count felony of statutory rape of a child less than 15 years- old, two counts of a sexual act by parent / custodian, one count felony crime against nature, and one count felony indecent liberties with a child.
Wing is scheduled to make his first court appearance on these charges on Aug. 31 in Northampton County Criminal District Court.
The arrest warrants, which were obtained Friday, stem from an investigation by Northampton Sheriff’s Sgt. Jimmy Barmer that began on June 24.
On Friday, the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office, Hertford County Sheriff’s Office, and State Bureau of Investigations located and arrested Wing.
