KILL DEVIL HILLS – The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will hold its fundraiser benefit at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8 at the Ramada Plaza in Kill Devil Hills.
This year’s event will feature Clyde Christensen, former UNC quarterback and current Offensive Analyst for Mack Brown’s Tar Heels.
The event will begin with a buffet meal.
Tables of eight can be hosted for $300. For information about hosting a table, individual seats, or sponsorships, please contact Northeast NC FCA Director of Operations Lori Williams at 252.564.2186 or loriwilliams@fca.org or visit www.nencfca.org. The deadline for reservations is Jan. 25.
Christensen has had a prolific coaching career collegiately and in the NFL. His NCAA stops include ECU, South Carolina, Clemson, Ole Miss, Maryland, and Temple. He’s also worked with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (two stints), Miami Dolphins, and Indianapolis Colts. He has coached Peyton Manning, Andrew Luck, Tom Brady, and Drake Maye, to name a few. His teams won Super Bowls XLI and LV, with the Colts and Buccaneers respectively.
This event highlights and celebrates this past year’s ministry growth and raises funds necessary to support the local FCA chapter serving Northeast North Carolina, which includes Bertie, Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Dare, Gates, Hertford, Pasquotank, and Perquimans counties.
Along with Christensen, local coaches and athletes will also be on hand to share about FCA’s impact on their campuses throughout Northeast North Carolina at the collegiate, high school, and middle school level.
All proceeds will help FCA continue to impact Northeast NC and meet the ever increasing needs of this expanding organization.
FCA is one of the largest Christian sports ministries in America and focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering, and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ. For almost 70 years, FCA has sought to impact the world through the influence of athletes and coaches.
