CAMDEN – Hertford County’s varsity boys rallied from a 32-24 halftime deficit here Wednesday night to defeat Camden County, 65-50, in a Northeastern Coastal Conference game.
The Bears were led by Keveon Rodgers (21 points), Rimiez Williams (20), and Jayden Robinson (10).
With the win, Hertford County remains in first place in the conference with a 5-0 league record (9-3 overall).
Hertford County’s girls also defeated Camden County, 63-22, to improve to 7-5 overall and 4-1 in the conference.
Jaliyah Mitchell (25 points) and Brooklynn White (13) led the Lady Bears.
After a road game at Manteo on Friday, HCHS returns home on Saturday to host rival Bertie in non-conference action. Games are scheduled for 3 p.m. (jayvee boys), 4:30 p.m. (varsity girls), and 6 p.m. (varsity boys).
