AHOSKIE – Lillian Gray Bazemore Weaver, age 90, of Evergreen Street, passed away with her beloved children by her side on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at the Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital of Ahoskie, NC.

Mrs. Weaver was born on October 19, 1933 to the late Major Franklin Bazemore and Lettie Byrd Bazemore in Colerain, NC. Lillian dedicated her life to taking care of her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She always kept her house in immaculate condition. You could always see Lillian working in her flower beds as long as her health permitted. She loved flowers of all kinds. Lillian would take advantage of a shopping trip for some retail therapy when she had the chance. Lillian was loved by her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Lillian is survived by her daughter, Trayce Geis of Bryson City, NC; her son, Brian Weaver of Ahoskie; her brother, Shelby Bazemore and wife Alice of Aulander; her sister, Elizabeth Williams of Pink Hill, NC; two grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

A celebration of life graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie, NC, with Rev. Troy Bordeaux officiating.
