WOODLAND – Dyllan Andrew Troiano, born on January 4, 2008, in Milford, Massachusetts, tragically passed away on February 11, 2024, in Murfreesboro, North Carolina. At the tender age of 16 years, Dyllan’s life was cut short, leaving behind a void that can never be filled.
Dyllan was a remarkable young man who had a zest for life and a multitude of interests. He was a devoted fan of basketball, with a deep admiration for the Golden State Warriors, particularly his favorite player, Steph Curry. Dyllan possessed exceptional intelligence and was a proud member of the national BETA club. He treasured his collection of expensive basketball shoes, which were reserved solely for the court. Alongside his athletic passion, Dyllan found joy in playing Fortnite and other video games, including NBA 2K. He had a charming sense of humor and loved making others laugh.
Embodying a caring nature, Dyllan always prioritized supporting and being there for others above himself. His selflessness extended beyond personal relationships, as he derived pleasure from indulging in various foods, particularly ramen, pizza, and macaroni and cheese. His sister, Kayla, held a special place in his heart, and their bond was unbreakable. They shared countless cherished moments. Dyllan Andrew Troiano’s untimely departure has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him. May his spirit find eternal peace, and may his loved ones find solace in the cherished memories they shared with him.
Dyllan is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Carol MacWhinnie, maternal great-grandfather, Angelo V. Vecchione, and his beloved uncle, Justin Alexander. Left to honor his memory are his grieving family and friends. His father, William Troiano, and mother, Alicia Williams Troiano, are deeply affected by this tragic loss. Dyllan’s sister, Kayla Troiano, will forever cherish the bond they shared. Additionally, his maternal grandparents, Angela and Gary Williams; maternal great-grandmother, Lorraine Breton; and maternal great-grandfather, Raymond Williams; maternal great-grandparents, Dorothy Mae and Joseph Nedorscik; aunt, Allison Williams Alexander; great-aunt, Nadine Edwards-Williams; as well as great-uncles, Christopher Vecchione, Gary Vecchione, Ronnie, Steven, Raymond, and Timmy Williams, and Kenny Bennett, mourn his departure. Numerous cousins, extended family members, and dear friends are devastated by the loss of such a vibrant individual.
To pay tribute to Dyllan’s life, visitation will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2024, from 2:30-4 p.m. at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service – Ahoskie Chapel in Ahoskie, NC. Funeral services will follow on the same day at 4 p.m., also at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service. The service will be officiated by Pastor Josh Butler.
