PEACHTREE CITY, GA – Madelyn Carol Hodgin, beloved daughter, sister, and mother, passed away on February 11, 2024, at the age of 83. She was born in Virginia on April 2, 1940.
Madelyn lived a life filled with love, warmth, and dedication to her family. As a homemaker, Madelyn found joy and fulfillment in creating a loving and nurturing environment for her loved ones. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished the moments spent with them. Madelyn especially cherished the time she spent with her sisters, creating lasting memories through traveling together and simply enjoying each other’s company. Being the youngest of four girls, Madelyn possessed a youthful spirit throughout her life. She exuded an infectious enthusiasm, always ready for new adventures and experiences. A big Golden State Warriors fan, she delighted in cheering on her favorite team alongside her loved ones.
Madelyn is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Hodgin Jr.; her parents, Medford and Helen Phillips; and her sister, Catherine Chitty.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Madelyn is survived by her sons, Stephen Hodgin and Robert Hodgin III (Sheila); and daughter, Melanie Hodgin (Susan). She is also survived by her sisters, Diane Dixon and Jane Trader, who will continue to hold her dear in their hearts.
In accordance with Madelyn’s wishes, there will be no services held at this time. The family requests privacy as they navigate through this difficult time.
Madelyn Carol Hodgin will forever be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her zest for life, and her ability to bring a smile to everyone’s face. May she rest in eternal peace.
