GREENVILLE, SC – The Conference Carolinas released its women’s basketball awards on Thursday morning, ahead of the start of the 2024 Atlantic Casualty Conference Carolinas Women’s Basketball Championship.
Earning First Team All-Conference for Chowan University was Tynasia Bunting. The junior guard from Newport News, VA posted 18.4 points per game in league play to finish tied for second in the league. Bunting led the league in steals at 3.4 steals per game.
Bunting helped the Hawks post the second highest scoring output in the league at 71.6 points per game along with leading the league in steals per game at 13.4 per outing.
The junior finished with 16.7 points per game, a Chowan DII single-season record, along with averaging 5.2 rebounds and 3.1 steals per game.
Bunting also posted a Chowan single-game record 39 points this season.
Bunting became the second Hawk to be named First Team All-Conference, joining former Hawk Destiny Robinson (2022-23).
