WINTON – The Roanoke-Chowan Wildlife Club invites the public to historic Hares Millpond on Saturday, April 27 to enjoy their annual Fish Day.
The event (10 am – 2 pm) is free for children, ages 15-and-under, to include cane poles and bait. Lunch (hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and soft drinks) is also free for the kids.
There will be canoes available for free for those wishing to paddle the millpond.
Exhibiters will have items for sale and door prizes will be awarded.
Hares Millpond is located off River Road between Winton and Tunis.
