District 7 Softball Tournament opens Wednesday

WINDSOR – Youth softball teams from northeastern North Carolina will make the trip to Windsor this week for the 2024 Tar Heel District 7 All-Star Tournament.

The double elimination tournament, which is scheduled for June 26 – July 2, will be held at Davis Park, located at 202 North York Street.

8U teams will play on Field 1; 10U will play on Field 2; and 12U & 16U will play on Field 3.

General admission is $6 for teens/adults (ages 13 and over), $4 for children (ages 7-12), and free for children (ages 6 and under).

There will be two entry gates set up along York Street at the ballpark.

Concessions will be offered for sale.

The tournament schedule for the opening round is as follows:

 

8U Softball

WED 6 pm – Ahoskie vs. Roanoke Valley

WED 7 pm – Camden vs. Perquimans

WED 8 pm – Pocosin vs. Cashie

 

10U Softball

WED 6 pm – Camden vs. Tyrrell

WED 8 pm – Currituck vs. Perquimans

THURS 6 pm – Cashie vs. Ahoskie

THURS 8 pm – Roanoke Valley vs. Pocosin

 

12U Softball

WED 6 pm – Pocosin vs. Perquimans

WED 8 pm – Camden vs. Roanoke Valley

THURS 6 pm – Gates vs. Ahoskie

THURS 8 pm – Currituck vs. Cashie

 

16U Softball

THURS 6 pm – Pocosin vs. Camden

THURS 8 pm – Roanoke Valley vs. Cashie

Note: Ahoskie’s first game will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 29 vs. the winner of Pocosin and Camden.
