RC Christian Men’s Job Corps now accepting applications

AHOSKIE – Roanoke Chowan Christian Men’s Job Corps will launch on Thursday, Aug. 22 at The Gathering Place, 701 E. Church Street, Ahoskie.
Classes will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursdays. There is no charge for this program.
“We are a supportive community of Christian men on God’s journey to help other men who desire to change by improving their life skills including job readiness through training, Bible study, prayer and mentoring,” said Woody Baker, Site Coordinator of the RC Christian Men’s Job Corps.
“Our vision is to see men thriving in life through gainful employment while pursuing healthy relationships with God, self, others and creation,” Baker added.

The Men’s Job Corps is staffed and funded by local community volunteers and partners. Enquiries are welcome for those wanting to contribute their time and talents in a variety of ways for example: preparing a meal, providing transportation, mentoring, etc.
