AHOSKIE – The Ahoskie Police are seeking two juveniles in connection with a shooting on Friday afternoon.

The shooting took place shortly after 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the Ahoskie Tobacco House, located at 102 North Catherine Creek Road. There, according to Ahoskie Police Chief Michele Garrett, two victims were shot. The victims, she said, are ages 19 and 23 and both are from Ahoskie.

The victims were treated and released from the hospital later on Friday.

Garrett said the juvenile suspects are ages 15 and 17, and also of Ahoskie.

“We know the identity of the two juveniles. We are actively searching for them,” Garrett said.

She added that both juveniles were armed and each fired shots.

Garrett said the suspects arrived on foot to the Tobacco House parking lot and then fled in the direction of the old Jones Lumber Company after firing the shots.

Tyler Burden is handling the investigation for the Ahoskie Police.
