Dementia support group meets

POTECASI – Pine Forest Rest Home hosted their first Dementia support group on Sept. 25.

Liberty Home Health and Hospice team and Northampton Home and Rehab were available to answer questions and give support.

Elizabeth Long, RN with Liberty Home Health and Hospice, spoke about Dementia and Alzheimer’s and the differences between the two. Attendees were able to share stories and concerns. Liberty Clinical Manager Cara Lane, RN, answered questions and offered solutions to some concerns that were brought to attention.

“We appreciate our partners and the launch of this much needed support group. Thank you all for attending,” said Cherie Jordan, who serves as Pine Forest’s Administrator-In-Charge.

The group will continue to meet at 6 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month, excluding December. Meetings will resume again in January.
