WINDSOR – Lee “Ann” Harrison Hoggard, 83, of Bull Hill Road, Windsor, NC died November 8, 2024, at her home. Lee Ann was born May 23, 1941, to the late Thomas Howard and Thelma Louise Daniels Harrison. Lee Ann was a loving wife of 65 years to Wallace who said, “she was the sweetest lady he had ever met.” She was a member of the Sue Todd Sunday School class, a Sunday School teacher, the director of the Ross Baptist Church WMU, a Bertie County Rural Health board member, and Polly Branch mission leader. Lee Ann worked as a bookkeeper for the Bertie County school system for many years. She loved to cook and was known for her “kitchen sink cookies” and never missed her Friday night dominoes game. She loved her family dearly.

A Funeral service was held Monday, November 11, 2024 at Ross Baptist Church, Windsor, NC. The Rev. Garry Mickey and Rev. Dr. Jeffery Russell officiated. The burial followed at Ross Baptist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Kelly Wallace Hoggard of the home; daughter, Beth Hoggard Jernigan (Lyndon) of Windsor; son, Alan Hoggard (Tammy) of Merry Hill; sister, Bertha Daniels (Ray) of Windsor; grandchildren, Allyson Hoggard (Carlyle Bryant) of Merry Hill and Dustin Jernigan (Margaret) of Washington, NC; great grandchildren, Madison and Elliott; and many nieces and nephews.
