GED program begins in March

RICH SQUARE – The nonprofit Inspiring G-Style Inc. is partnering with Willow Oak AME Church in Rich Square to offer a GED training program beginning in March. There will be space for a total of 25 participants.
The free program is open to individuals ages 16 and older, but 16- and 17-year-olds must have parental consent to attend. Eligible participants cannot be currently enrolled in or attend any high school. Participants must possess a state-issued ID card.
Registration day will be from 12-2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 1 at Willow Oak AME Church, 1000 S. Main Street, Rich Square.
The 13-week program will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays beginning March 8 through May 31.
Inspiring G-Style Inc was founded by Dr. Lagena Smith-Robinson. The organization’s mission is to create community economic stability by strengthening self-sufficiency and employment support systems in low-income and underserved communities.
Dr. Smith-Robinson and her husband, Terry Robinson, are also the owners of the former Mylcraft building in Rich Square, which they have plans to renovate and provide new economic and entertainment opportunities for the town.
