WOODLAND—A woman here is facing a prostitution charge after being arrested by an undercover agent.

According to Northampton County Sheriff Wardie P. Vincent, Sarah May Bowser of Yankee Lane, Woodland was taken into custody May 4 after local citizens lodged complaints she allegedly had solicited them with prostitution.

Vincent said after receiving the complaints, his office initiated an investigation in which an undercover agent approached Bowser and she solicited the agent with prostitution.

Bowser was taken into custody and charged with soliciting prostitution, felony possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was taken to the Northampton County Jail where she was placed on a $5,000 secured bond.
