AHOSKIE – Roanoke-Chowan Publications is launching a new effort to provide a new look for local prep schedules.
Beginning earlier this week, RCP began the process of producing 2010 pocket schedules for eight of the high schools in the Roanoke-Chowan region. Those schools include Bertie High, Bethel Christian Academy, Gates County High, Hertford County High, Lawrence Academy, Northeast Academy, Northampton-East High and Ridgecroft School.
“We’re excited about this project which will provide schedules for our local schools which will be bright, colorful and specific to each high school,” said Roanoke-Chowan Publications Advertising Director Brian Pavlick. “We already had a warm reception from the schools and advertisers as we begin this project.”
The schedule folds out to six panels across and will have sports schedules and advertisers blended on the front and back of each one. The 2010 Pocket Schedule will be made available at local businesses as well as being distributed at the individual schools.
“We’re going to make sure these schedules are both informative and representative of the individual schools,” RCP Multimedia Manager Patrick Bryant said. “We have begun working with each school to make sure the logos and information is representative of the institution.”
The schedules will be the size of a business card and will be perfect for fans of the Falcons, Eagles, Red Barons, Warriors, Bears, and Rams to put in their pocket to make sure they know what events are scheduled at each school.
Businesses that would like to be involved in the project can call Tammy Perry (332-7203) or Judy Farmer (332-7217).
