To the Editor:

Keith and I would like to express our appreciation for the outpouring of love that we continue to receive at the death of our son Thomas Nicholas Brantley. His life and death has affected each of us in such a way that we will never forget him.

Because of his zeal for life and his love of people, Keith and I have decided to start a scholarship in his name at Ridgecroft School. Our goal is to raise $100,000 so that each and every year a young person will receive a scholarship in his name.

We will continue to have the yearly basketball tournament at Ridgecroft, but our ultimate goal is to increase the amount of scholarship money that we can offer these students. We have been so grateful to the individuals that have contributed, but Keith and I long to see a long lasting scholarship.

Nicholas was just like your sons and daughters, a dreamer. He dreamed BIG. Keith and I would like to see your kids dream the same way. In order for us to see this happen we need your assistance in raising this money.

Ridgecroft School is now accepting monies so that we can start this scholarship. Keith and I have placed the first $1,000 toward this. If you would like to help us in this endeavor please send your contribution to Ridgecroft School, PO Box 1008, Ahoskie, NC 27910. Please place in the memo section “Lt. Nick Brantley Scholarship.”

We look forward to seeing each of you at “Lt. Nick Brantley Basketball” Tournament” this December 2008. Let’s Dream Big.

Keith and Joyce Brantley
