Curfew planned in Aulander

AULANDER – Another town is taking precautionary steps in the anticipation of Hurricane Irene moving into North Carolina.
The Aulander Board of Commissioners enacted a curfew and will prohibit the sale of alcoholic beverages due to the storm.
The prohibition on the sale of alcoholic beverages in the town limits of Aulander began at 10 p.m. Friday and will continue until further notice.
A curfew takes effect Saturday in the town limits. The curfew will be from 9 p.m. until sunrise beginning Saturday and continuing until notice by the board.
