MURFREESBORO — The best way for a newcomer to get to know a community is through its people.

The Murfreesboro Town Council has offered an employment agreement to Lee Capps for the position of town administrator.

According to Interim Town Administrator Hugh Montgomery terms of that agreement has been decided upon by council, but Capps had yet to sign the document as of Monday morning.

Montgomery said Capps plans to attend a Murfreesboro Chamber of Commerce meeting at 1 p.m. today.
