WINDSOR – Filing begins Monday, June 14 for seats on two Bertie County boards.

Three seats on the Bertie County Board of Education will be available, while two seats on the Bertie Soil & Water Conservation Board will be on the Nov. 2 General Election ballot

Filing will open at the Bertie County Board of Elections office at 12 noon on Monday, June 14 and will continue through 12 noon on Friday, July 2.

The seats open on the Bertie County Board of Education include the District 2 seat currently held by Rickey Freeman, the District 3 seat of Emma Johnson and the District 4 seat of Alton Parker.

The positions currently held by Robert Hoggard and John Stallings will be up for reelection on the Soil & Water Conservation Board.
