RICH SQUARE – Benjamin Goode Anderson, a World War II Army veteran and a resident of Rich Square Health Care Center, had a very over-due surprise on Sunday, December 17.

He received medals that he earned during World War II.

His wife, Elizabeth Anderson, worked very hard to see that Mr. Anderson got his medals that he so deserved. (Mrs. Anderson died this past summer).

His son and daughter were at the facility (along with other family members) to present the medals to him.

He received the Good Conduct Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and Bronze Star Attachment (Quadruple), World War II Victory Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon and Bronze Star Attachment (Double), and an Honorable Service Lapel Button WWII.
