Ridgecroft jumped out to a 13-6 lead after one quarter, but the home team rallied to outscore the Rams 15-9 in the second. That left Ridgecroft ahead 22-21 heading into the intermission.

The third quarter saw the Lady Rams roll off 16 points while limiting Faith to 11 and that set up the final quarter where the Rams outscored Faith 15-13 to establish the final.

“We played great defense up top which kept Faith from being able to force the ball inside,” Rams’ Head Coach Susan Oliver said. “We were also able to force turnovers.”

Hennie Larabee and Miller Bryant paced the Ridgecroft attack with 18 and 16 points respectively. Larabee added six steals and seven rebounds while Bryant recorded eight rebounds, five steals and one block.

Lauren Colson led the defensive effort with 15 rebounds and five steals. She added six points on the offensive end.

Elizabeth Joyner scored six points and grabbed one rebound for the Lady Rams while Mary-joe Harrell added six points, three rebounds and one block. Katie Blowe added one point for Ridgecroft.

Stephanie Stallings paced Faith Christian with 14 points.

On Friday, Ridgecroft knocked off Shannon Forest by a final of 59-37. The key non-conference win came in large part to a 19-point performance from Harrell. The freshman buried five three-pointers for the Rams.

Colson also had an outstanding night, scoring 16 points while Bryant added 13 and Larabee had 11.

One day earlier, Ridgecroft earned its second win in the Tarheel Independent Conference with a 54-24 thumping of Terra Ceia Christian School.

Larabee led that victory with 21 points while Bryant and Colson each dropped in a baker’s dozen. Harrell added seven points.

Kendra Van Staalduinen led Terra Ceia with seven points.

The trio of wins left the Lady Rams 7-2 overall and 2-0 in the TIC.
