Douglas Daniel
DURHAM n Douglas McCray Daniel, 54, died April 23, 2005 at his residence.
A funeral will be conducted at 12 noon Thursday in the Roanoke Rapids Chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home by the Rev. Tracy Tann. Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Cemetery.
Lucy E. Cooper
WINDSOR n Lucy E. "Mutt" Cooper, 82, died April 23, 2005.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Sandy Point Baptist Church, Windsor. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A wake will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Gilliam Funeral Home Chapel, Windsor.
Bruce E. Martin
WILSON n Bruce Earl Martin, 79, died Thursday, April 21, 2005 at his home. Bruce was born in Red Oak, NC to Laura Bryant Martin and Dr. John Henry Martin. He was Superintendent of Water for the City of Wilson for 32 years. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his brother, John Martin of Wilson and brother and sister, Robert Martin and Edith Brown of Ahoskie.
A gathering to celebrate his life was held on Saturday, 11 a.m., at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend George R. Crute officiating. Interment followed in Evergreen Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Georgia Pearson Martin, and loved by his Martin and Pearson nieces and nephews.
The family received friends at the home, 4964 NC Highway 58 N.

Ron'Gina Wilder
AULANDER n Ron'Gina La'Niece Wilder, 17, a native of Hertford County, died April 25, 2005 at Pitt County Hospital, Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted at 12 noon Saturday at Hertford County High School Gymnasium, Ahoskie, by Minister Shelia White. Burial will be in the Wilder-Cherry Family Cemetery, Aulander. Wilder's Funeral Home, Inc., Aulander, is in charge.
Ron'Gina was a junior at Hertford County High School and a member of the varsity basketball team and high school softball team.
Survivors include her parents, Ronald and Mary Wilder of the home; her biological mother, Wanda Monroe of Potecasi; sisters, Brittney and Bri'Asia Wilder of the home, La'Dale Harris, Ciera Peebles and Shir'Myria Monroe, all of Potecasi; brothers, Joshua Monroe and Mical Majette, both of Potecasi; grandparents, Ralph Wilder of Aulander, Cecil Peebles of Ahoskie, Ada Flood of Ahoskie and Melba Peebles of Woodland; and great-grandmothers, Marie Sharp of Woodland and Clarissa Peebles of Conway.
Della B. Sumner
PORTSMOUTH, Va. – Della B. &uot;Dell&uot; Sumner, 94, a native of Lewiston, died April 21, 2005, in Sentara Nursing Center, Portsmouth. She was the widow of Trafton Sumner.
Survivors include a son, Frank Parker of Portsmouth; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
