MURFREESBORO – Nine new members have been elected to serve on the Chowan College Board of Trustees through 2007.

Chowan announced the newest members during a December 4 meeting of the trustees.

Trustees serve overlapping terms of four years, must be members of Southern Baptist churches and are elected by the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. The board serves as a policy making body for the college.

Members with terms expiring in 2007 include: M. Frank Edwards of Rocky Mount, Ronald W. McSwain of Ahoskie, Elaine E. Myers of Ahoskie, Paul Kingsley Platts of Edenton, Charles B. Pond, III of Suffolk, Va., John P. Revelle of Murfreesboro, W. Frank Rose Jr. of Ahoskie, E. Brinson Paul of Murfreesboro and Hugh C. Vincent of Murfreesboro.
