Veronica Stephenson Byrd, 67, died Wednesday, April 28, 2010.
Born in Johnston County, she worked at Seaboard Manufacturing Company, Pine Forest Rest Home in Potecasi and Home Health.
Survivors include her husband, Harvey Paul Byrd Sr.; children, Harvey Paul Byrd Sr. of Pendleton, Earl Judson Byrd of Wilson, William Henry Byrd of Franklin, Va., Cynthia Vaughan of Severn, Debra Summers of Milwaukee and Lisa Byrd Temple of Seven Springs; sisters, Wanda Baker of Nags Head, Kitty Weiskopf of Canton, Md., Nancy Latone of Rochester, NJ and Donna Futrell of Conway; brother, Jennings Stephenson of Lindellwall, NJ; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 1 at Severn Baptist Church, Severn, with the Rev. Brent Hobbs officiating. Burial will follow at Milwaukee Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to Conway-Severn Rescue Squad or the charity of one’s choice.
