Frances Butler Felton, 81, of US 13 South, Eure, and also of Kill Devil Hills, died Tuesday, March 23, 2010 in her home.
Born in Isle of Wight County, Va., she was a retired clerical supervisor from the Hertford County Department of Social Services and she also served as a director of that agency. She was a member of Cool Spring Baptist Church and a member of the Gatesville Chapter #335, The Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, Louis Zachariah Felton; and a brother, Frank Woodville Butler of Hernando, Fla.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 26 at Cool Spring Baptist Church with the Rev. Roger Kiker and the Rev. Tommy Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may join the family in the church social hall following services and all other times at the residence.
