Helen Robbins

Mrs. Helen Bryant “Me-Ma” Robbins, age 87, died at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville on Friday, March 5, 2010.
She was a native of Northampton County, born on August 12, 1922. She was a member of the Rich Square Baptist Church and was married to the late Wilson Robbins. To this marriage was born two children.
Mrs. Robbins worked and retired from the Northampton County School System where she served as a cook and lunchroom aide for many years. Her work extended to several schools around the county such as Rich Square High School, Creecy Elementary, Northampton East High School and Woodland Onley School. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and quilting. Mrs. Robbins was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Preceding her in death are her mother and father, Maudie and Miles Bryant; her daughter, Linda Lorraine Robbins; and several sisters and brothers.
Survivors include her son, Robert Wilson “Buddy” Robbins of Rich Square and her brother Carroll Bryant of Rich Square. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Timothy Wilson Robbins and his wife, Bobbi, Jessica Robbins Liverman and her husband, Will, and Jennifer Ann Robbins; and one great grandchild, Wyatt Langston Liverman.
Graveside services will be conducted on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at 3 p.m. at the Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Rich Square with the Rev. Bob Rogers officiating.
The family will receive friends at Sykes Funeral Service in Rich Square on Saturday evening from 7:00-8:30 p.m.
