Roy Wayne Howell, age 61, of Como passed from this life on February 22, 2010 at Courtland Healthcare Center in Courtland, VA. He was born April 25, 1948 in Hertford Co.. He was the son of the late Roy William Howell.
He is survived by his loving mother, Helen Flythe Howell of Como, a son Anthony Howell, a daughter Kelly Anderson and husband Kernie and a grandson Grayson all of Suffolk, VA, two brothers, Larry Howell and wife Linda of Como and Gary Howell and wife Sheri of Murfreesboro and a sister Vicki Benthall and husband Frank of Como, several nieces and nephews and his dog Bert.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Buckhorn Baptist Church Cemetery in Como. Rev. John Hackney will officiate.
The family will receive friends at 401 Statesville Road, Como, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Buckhorn Baptist Church, Como, NC 27818.
