Clarine C. Nixon, 83, of Bertie County died Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Guardian Care Nursing Home in Ahoskie.
Born in Hertford County, she was retired from Hertford County Schools as a janitor and was a member of New Bethany Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Ella Mae Corpew of Norfolk, Va. and Thelma Outlaw of Windsor; a granddaughter and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 8 at New Bethany Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev.
William C. Clark officiating. Burial will take place at Philippi Baptist Church Cemetery.
Hunter’s Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is handling the arrangements.
