Mrs. Elizabeth Dunlow Burch, age 79, of Powellsville passed away Monday, January 11, 2010 at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie.
Mrs. Burch was born October 22, 1930 in Bertie County, the daughter of the late Rassie Dunlow and Chester Leary Dunlow. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie W. Burch.
Survivors include her daughter, Frieda B. Ingram and her husband, Henry, of Aulander; her grandchildren, Chad Wheeler and his wife, Jennifer, and Nick Ingram; her sisters, Chester Pierce of Lansing, Mich., Marigold Shubitowski of Baltimore, Md. and Hannah Ruth Dunlow Allen of Wendell; her brothers, Dutie M. Dunlow of Advance, Donnie W. Dunlow of Windsor, Peter P. Dunlow of Wendell, Jackie O. Dunlow of Ahoskie and Lannie Dunlow of Aulander; and 33 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Powellsville Baptist Church with Dr. Carroll Tarkington and the Rev. Robert M. May officiating. Burial will follow at Stoney Creek Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Powellsville Fire Department.
