Mr. Darren Ray Martin, age 45, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, went to be with the Lord, January 6, 2010 at Hamilton Medical Center.
Darren was born April 27, 1964 in West Virginia, son of the late Ray and Cheryl Martin. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Grant and Marguerite Hanlon and Mack and Ida Martin.
He is survived by his wife, Angie Taylor Martin; his brother, Kevin Martin of Spring City, Tenn.; sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Andy Folsom of Maine; his fathers-in-law and mothers-in law, Gene and Louise Taylor of Gumberry and Robert and Georgia Taylor of Seaboard; his brothers-in-law, Edward Taylor of Gumberry, Zachary Taylor of Raleigh, Ron Pippen of Elizabeth City; sister-in-law Wendy Gatewood and husband Chris of Clayton; nephews, Blake ad Brandon Folsom, Mark and Andrew Gatewood.
Services to celebrate the life of Darren will be held, Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Harvest Baptist Church with Reverend Gary Evans officiating. Graveside services will be held, Monday, January 11, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Taylor Family Cemetery in Gumberry.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Harvest Baptist Church, 3986 Cleveland Hwy, Dalton, Ga. 30721.
Arrangements are being handled by Ponders Funeral Home in Dalton, GA and Massey Funeral Home in Jackson.
