Mrs. Cathryn Boyce Futrell, age 87, died Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Guardian Care of Ahoskie, NC.
Mrs. Futrell was born February 1, 1922 in Northampton County, NC, the daughter of the late Joseph H. Boyce and Alethia Melson Boyce. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Daniel M. Futrell.
She was a retired seamstress at the Timberlake Casket Manufacturing Co.
Survivors include her daughter, Helen and her husband, Joel Early, of Ahoskie, NC; two grandchildren, Joel Early, Jr. and his wife, Jackie, of Greenville, NC and Heather E. Lane of Selma, NC; and two great-grandchildren, Daniel E. Lane and Lillie Early.
Graveside services will be held, Monday, December 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Woodland Cemetery in Woodland, NC with the Rev. Ronald McSwain officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Massey Funeral Home in Aulander.
