Donald Ray Pavey, 52, of Horace Carter Road, died Friday, November 27, 2009 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville.
A native of Virginia Beach, Va., he was a salesman with the former Gatesville Ice Plant.
Survivors include his parents, James L. Pavey Sr. and Eva Daw Pavey of Gatesville; two sisters, Gracie Pierce and Mary Umphlette, both of Gatesville; and four brothers, James Pavey Jr. of Greenville, Richard Pavey of Aulander, Robert Pavey of Gatesville and Harold Pavey of Weeksville.
A memorial service was held Monday, Nov. 30 in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, by Pastor Eric Earhart. Friends may join the family at the home of his sister, Mary, 197 Horace Carter Road, Gatesville.
