Haywood Hill

Haywood David Hill, 70, of Mizelle Lane in Windsor died Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Pitt Memorial Hospital, Greenville.
A native of Bertie County, he was a retired mechanic with the North Carolina Department of Transportation and a member of Askewville Assembly of God where he was a Deacon.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Ayers Hill of the home; three daughters, Kay Thibodeuax, Tammy Thomas and Judi Hoggard; a sister, Nadine H. Bazemore; two brothers, Joe Hill of Aulander and Jim Hill of Chesapeake, VA; and six grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at Askewville Assembly of God with the Rev. R.O. Denton Jr., the Rev. R.O. Denton Sr. and the Rev. J.R. Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Windsor.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at Walker Funeral Home and other times at the home.
