Elizabeth Langford Slade, 88, of Potecasi died Thursday November 5, 2009 a Wake Medical in Raleigh. Survivors include her husband, Leonard Slade Sr. of Potecasi; eight sons, Leonard A. Slade Jr. of Albany, NY, Willilam C. Slade of Silver Springs, Md., Rev. Robert Earl Slade of Upper Marlboro, Md., Milton V. Slade of Middletown, Md., Cornelius Flood of Kernersville and Rev. Reginald A. Slade and Jeffrey E. Slade, both of Upper Marlboro, Md.; a daughter, Mary S. Settle of Waldorf, Md.; a brother, Mayfield Langford of Queens, NY; a sister, Ruth Buffaloe of Potecasi; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 2nd Baptist Church Potecasi with Rev. Robert Earl Slade officiating. Burial will take place at the Slade Family Cemetery, Potecasi. Reynolds Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is handling the arrangements.
