Herman Lee Moody Sr., 76, of Nowell Farm Road, Colerain, died Friday, October 30, 2009 at Guardian Care Nursing Home in Ahoskie.
A native of Bertie County, he was a retired farm worker and a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, Colerain.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes Moody of the home; three daughters, Mary Grandy, Dora Wilson and Sarah Perry, all of Colerain; two sisters, Fannie Outlaw of Windsor and Thelma Leary of Colerain; a brother, James L. Moody of Colerain; 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4 at Zion Hill Baptist Church, Colerain, with the Rev. Nathaniel Thompson officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
