Doris Deans Rogers, 94, of Constance Road, Suffolk, died Sunday, October 4, 2009 in Nansemond Pointe Convalescent Center.
A native of Bertie County, she was a retired sales clerk from Merit Shoe Store and was a member of First Baptist Church of Suffolk.
Survivors include a daughter, Page Rogers of Portsmouth, VA; a son, Hal K. Rogers, Jr. of Suffolk, VA; a brother, William F. Deans of Hudson; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, Oct. 7 in Gatesville Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Taylor officiating.
