Lewis Jenkins of Colerain died Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at UHS Service League of Greenville.
A native of Brooklyn, NY, he was retired from New York City Transit Authority and a member of Faith Tabernacle Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ora Mae Jenkins of the home; four sons, Louis Jenkins of Washington, DC, Robert Jenkins and
Curtis Jenkins, both of Charlotte, and Derrick
Jenkins of Atlanta, GA; five daughters, Deborah Jenkins of Queens, NY, Theresa Jenkins of Brooklyn, NY, Beverly Duncan of Greenwood Lake, NY, Jeanette Jenkins of Charlotte and
Vanessa Moton of Queens, NY; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 9 at Faith Tabernacle Church with Pastor Larry Nichols officiating. Burial will take place in Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
